Buffer vessels are available for use in chilled water and thermal storage applications. These vessels are located between the chillers and the distribution system
Units are installed in a system to provide additional storage capacity for use when peak demand levels exceed the capability of the heat source.
Buffer vessels for use in chilled water closed circuits would generally be manufactured in carbon steel. Units are installed to prevent rapid cycling of the chillers.
Steel buffer vessels are designed to the pressure directive – PD 5500; 2000
All our carbon steel standard units are tested to 15 bar with a maximum working pressure of 10 bar, Maximum Temperature 120 degrees centigrade. We can however manufacture to your own specification either in carbon steel or stainless steel.
Buffer Vessels can also be manufactured to your own specification/sizes please Email or Fax 01709 720846 us with your requirements.
